Role Overview

The Product Solutions Engineer position is a full‑time, client‑facing role based in Reston, USA. You will serve as a technical liaison between arenaflex’s advertising and product teams and our global advertisers, agencies, and internal stakeholders. This role blends deep technical expertise with exceptional communication skills to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues across arenaflex’s advertising ecosystem, including the arenaflex Marketing Platform, arenaflex Search, arenaflex Shopping, and mobile app solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Issue Resolution

• Provide proactive, high‑quality technical support to advertisers and internal partners, handling escalated cases that span multiple products and platforms.
• Identify, reproduce, and resolve intricate bugs, performance degradations, and data inconsistencies using a systematic, data‑driven approach.
• Document each case thoroughly, ensuring knowledge is captured for future reference and shared across the gTech community.
• Maintain a strong sense of urgency while balancing thoroughness, ensuring that critical issues are resolved within service‑level agreements.

Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Influence

• Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Design teams to surface product gaps, suggest enhancements, and influence roadmap priorities.
• Act as a conduit for feedback from advertisers, translating business needs into technical specifications that drive product innovation.
• Work with the Machine Learning (ML) and AI teams to understand model behavior, communicate findings, and help refine predictive algorithms that power arenaflex’s ad delivery systems.
• Coordinate with the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Infrastructure groups to design and implement automated monitoring and alerting solutions.

Tool Development & Process Automation

• Design, prototype, and maintain internal tooling that streamlines issue investigation, data extraction, and root‑cause analysis.
• Develop scripts and utilities (Python, Bash, or similar) to automate repetitive tasks, reducing manual effort and improving response times.
• Contribute to the creation of dashboards, visualizations, and reporting mechanisms that provide real‑time insight into system health.

Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship

• Lead technical training sessions for new hires and junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Participate in internal forums, hackathons, and community of practice groups to disseminate best practices and emerging technologies.
• Mentor peers on troubleshooting methodologies, debugging techniques, and effective communication with non‑technical stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software development, systems engineering, or technical support roles.
• Proficiency in at least one widely used programming language such as Java, C/C++, or Python.
• Hands‑on experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP) and a solid understanding of how browsers interact with web services.
• Demonstrated ability to write and execute complex SQL‑like queries for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large data sets, identify patterns, and draw actionable conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing or consuming APIs, including RESTful services and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization techniques.
• Exposure to AI/ML fundamentals, particularly in the context of ad ranking, recommendation systems, or predictive analytics.

• Understanding of backend concepts such as caching, load balancing, and distributed storage.
• Experience with mobile application frameworks and the ability to troubleshoot issues on Android and iOS platforms.
• Proficiency with debugging tools like Chrome DevTools, Wireshark, or similar network analysis utilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
