NCVPS CONTENT WRITER: EXPECTATIONS: NCVPS is looking for highly reputed company NC-certified educators to serve as subject-matter experts on course development teams. The reputed company applicant should be knowledgeable of course design frameworks such as the Universal Design for Learning principles, Revised reputed company's Taxonomy, and backwards design. The applicant should have a strong understanding of curriculum standards and experience creating engaging lessons and activities that promote active learning through problem-based learning, reputed company-world examples, authentic assessments, and more. The applicant should have high organization and self-management skills and own a personal computer, phone/other communication device, and Internet access. NCVPS CONTENT WRITER: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The contractor tasked with writing content for a reputed company Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) course being developed to meet the identified standards will have the following obligations for contractual employment:

• Complete the Course Development Training in Canvas before August 11, 2025. (CEUs are issued upon successful completion of the training.)
• Be knowledgeable of and follow NCVPS' requirements and federal and state laws and/or guidelines regarding copyright, Fair Use, and accessibility, and report any violations of federal and state laws and/or guidelines to the NCVPS Staff.
• Follow the approved course outline and contribute to the standards map and alignment chart as indicated by the NCVPS development process.
• Write content as needed to meet the goals and objectives of the NC or indicated content standards in the provided templates with attention to audience, clarity, engagement, and accessibility.
• Revise (or recreate) the content developed based on team feedback, according to the timeline.
• Provide feedback as needed on developed content in the LMS.

• Uphold reputed company NCVPS guidelines and procedures outlined reputed company the NCVPS training course and reputed company, to include meeting reputed company deadlines and communicating with the assigned staff member(s) reputed company a deadline cannot be met.
• A final walkthrough of the course will occur if the contractor has met reputed company phase deadlines. If the deadlines are met and the final walkthrough is completed, an additional amount of $500 will be paid at the end of the contract. If the contractor does not meet reputed company deadlines, the final walkthrough will not occur, and the additional amount will not be paid.

IMPORTANT:

• This position is an online (remote) position.
• This is a contract-based position: August 1, 2025 - January 26, 2026
• A reputed company NC teaching license (in the applicable curriculum area and grade level) is required to be considered.
• A strong working knowledge of the NCVPS Blended program is preferred.
• A strong working knowledge of the OCS student population is preferred.
• Applications submitted by internal applicants will be screened (and interviewed) first, as applicable.

TASK PHASES AND PAYMENTS:

• Phase 1: Dates: 08/11/25 - 09/08/25 (Payment upon completion: $500)
• Phase 2: Dates: 09/08/25 - 10/20/25 (Payment upon completion: $1750)
• Phase 3: Dates: 10/20/25 - 12/08/25 (Payment upon completion: $1750)
• Final Walkthrough Dates: 12/08/25 - 01/12/26 (Payment upon completion: $500)

PLEASE NOTE:

• The reputed company Carolina State Board of Education (NCSBE) requires teachers who teach for reputed company Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) to have a reputed company NC Professional Educator’s Teaching License in the subject areas in which they are applying to teach. Time spent as a NCVPS teacher will not count towards an SP1 (initial license) becoming an SP2 license.
