As part of our growing Innovation Office, we are looking for bright, detail‑oriented individuals who want to make a tangible impact on the way aviation works today and tomorrow.

Position Overview

The Innovation Investigator Understudy – Data Entry Specialist is a part‑time role that sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and business analysis. You will support cross‑functional teams that include Flight Operations, Customer & Business Services, Systems & Services, People & Finance, and more. Your primary mission is to ensure that critical data is captured accurately, organized efficiently, and made readily available for decision‑making, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document data requirements aligned with system and process standards.
  • Enter, validate, and maintain high‑volume data sets in internal tools, ensuring completeness and adherence to arenaflex data‑quality guidelines.
  • Assist Scrum Masters, Engineers, and Product Owners by tracking progress, updating status dashboards, and reporting on testing outcomes.
  • Coordinate timelines for design, development, testing, and deployment phases, guaranteeing deliverables are met on schedule and within budget.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technology teams, facilitating clear communication and swift resolution of data‑related issues.
  • Participate in system and acceptance testing activities, documenting results and supporting defect triage.
  • Adapt to varying workload volumes based on project needs, maintaining flexibility and a proactive attitude.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – especially advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data validation.
  • Fundamental understanding of business analysis concepts, process mapping, and workflow improvement.
  • Exposure to a technical environment, with a willingness to learn agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse teams and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Previous internship or co‑op experience (12+ months) in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Hands‑on experience with data‑entry or data‑management tools beyond Excel (e.g., SQL, Tableau, or proprietary arenaflex platforms).
  • Participation in case competitions, capstone projects, or business‑strategy challenges that required problem‑solving under pressure.
  • Familiarity with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Knowledge of aviation industry terminology, flight operations processes, or airline customer service workflows.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, such as certifications in data analysis or project management.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Precision in data capture and validation to prevent downstream errors.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems, ask probing questions, and propose actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working in cross‑functional, fast‑paced teams that value openness and respect.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in an environment where priorities shift quickly and new challenges emerge daily.
  • Time Management: Efficiently juggle multiple assignments while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Technical Curiosity: Eagerness to explore emerging technologies, data‑visualization tools, and process‑automation opportunities.

Learning & Development Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in employee growth. As a member of the Innovation Office, you will:

  • Receive mentorship from seasoned Scrum Masters, engineers, and product owners who will guide your professional development.
  • Gain exposure to real‑world aviation projects, from flight‑deck applications to customer‑experience platforms.
