Part-Time Claims Data Entry Processor

to join our dynamic Claims Intake team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering data from insurance claims and authorization requests submitted by healthcare providers. This is a part-time position offering 34 hours per week with a flexible schedule between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Central Standard Time. This position can be fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional administrative support to the healthcare industry. You will serve as a critical link in the healthcare administrative chain, ensuring that claims are processed correctly and efficiently to meet client turnaround times. Your daily tasks will include: - Data Entry: Entering information from insurance claims and authorization requests into our database systems with speed and accuracy, ensuring all fields are completed correctly and in accordance with established guidelines. - Document Analysis: Navigating efficiently through our imaging software to retrieve claims and authorization documents, identifying and extracting relevant information for data entry. - Claim Type Differentiation: Recognizing different claim types (medical, surgical, pharmacy, dental, etc.) and applying the appropriate data entry guidelines for each category. - Special Handling Identification: Accurately identifying specific document types that require special handling, such as urgent claims, experimental procedures, or claims requiring additional verification. - Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure that work is completed in accordance with designated turnaround times, supporting your colleagues during peak periods and contributing to team success. - Workflow Support: Supportingadditional workflows as needed due to internal or external requirements, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a constantly evolving work environment. --- ## Additional Responsibilities In addition to your core data entry duties, you will be expected to contribute to the overall success of the team through the following responsibilities: - Quality Review: Performing quality reviews of other team members' claims and authorizations according to established data entry guidelines, providing constructive feedback to ensure consistency and accuracy across the team. - Issue Identification: Alerting management immediately upon identification of discrepancies, potential errors, or process inefficiencies that could impact turnaround times or data quality. - Process Improvement: Providing recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiencies, suggesting innovative solutions that could streamline workflows or enhance accuracy. - Team Contribution: Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating a proactive approach and a willingness to go above and beyond. --- ## What Qualifications You Need to Have To be successful in this role, you must meet the following required qualifications: ### Required Level of Education, Licenses, and/or Certificates -

High school diploma or equivalent

is required for this position. A post-secondary education in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred but not required. ### Required Level of Experience -

Six (6) months or more

of experience in a data entry or typing-focused role is required. Prior experience in healthcare claims processing, medical billing, or insurance administration is highly preferred but not mandatory. ### Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong Data Entry/Typing Skills: You must possess exceptional typing abilities with a minimum speed requirement as demonstrated through our pre-employment assessment. - Excellent Attention to Detail: You must have a meticulous approach to your work, ensuring that every piece of data is entered correctly and that no errors slip through the cracks. - High Degree of Accuracy: Precision is paramount in this role. You must be committed to maintaining the highest levels of accuracy, as errors in claims data can have significant consequences for patients, providers, and payers. --- ## Assessment Requirements As part of our selection process, all candidates who are selected for further consideration will be required to complete an online alphanumeric data entry assessment. To be considered for this position, you must achieve a minimum keystrokes per hour (KSPH) of

accuracy rate of 98% or higher
