Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Part Time Remote Data Entry Specialist to join our dynamic Customer Service team at arenaflex. This remote position offers the flexibility of working from home while contributing to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate data entry, patient enrollment, and resolving third-party exceptions while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Data Entry and Patient Enrollment

  • Utilize arenaflex prescription data entry procedures and guidelines to process new patient enrollment by entering data into appropriate systems
  • Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA regulations and enter refill orders for processing
  • Investigate to obtain missing prescription information and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes)
  • Resolve all data entry related exceptions with precision and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our pharmacy management systems

Customer Communication

  • Handle correspondence to patients via inbound calls, chats, and emails
  • Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed
  • Provide clear, compassionate, and professional communication to all customers
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Document all customer interactions accurately in our systems

Third-Party Exception Resolution

  • Resolve third-party exceptions by researching, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual policy requirements
  • Make phone calls to payers and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve the exceptions
  • Track and document exception resolution processes for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with team members to identify trends in exceptions and develop solutions

Pharmacy Support

  • Provide assistance to pharmacists, both those in-office and at other locations
  • Identify and communicate issues to senior level staff as appropriate
  • Support pharmacy operations by maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required
  • Adhere to all arenaflex policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic computer skills including ability to start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and/or access data online
  • Basic internet search skills including opening a browser, typing URLs in the correct location, using a search engine, bookmarking a website, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and filling out forms online
  • Intermediate level keyboarding skills (minimum 25 WPM, touch typing, formatting documents)
  • Effective communication skills in both writing and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Must obtain active professional license or certification within the first 90 days and maintain an active license or certification
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and dedicated workspace

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (minimum 35 WPM, touch typing, formatting documents)
  • Familiarity with Spanish and English bilingual abilities are highly valued
  • Experience with pharmacy management software systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance requirements
  • Previous remote work experience
  • Experience with data entry in a healthcare setting
  • Certification in pharmacy technology (CPhT) or similar professional credential
