About arenaflex – Pioneering Pharmacy Services in a Digital World

arenaflex is a leading national pharmacy retailer and health‑services organization that has been delivering trusted medication solutions for more than a century. With a network that spans every major U.S. market, arenaflex blends the convenience of a modern retail pharmacy with the rigor of clinical care. Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve by providing safe, affordable, and accessible medication and wellness services. As part of our ongoing digital transformation, we are expanding our remote workforce to include dedicated data entry professionals who help keep our clinical programs accurate, compliant, and patient‑focused.

Why This Role Matters

In the fast‑moving world of pharmacy operations, accurate data is the foundation of safe patient care, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. As a Remote Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be the guardian of that data—ensuring every prescription, clinical note, and payer interaction is entered precisely, reviewed for quality, and aligned with both internal standards and external regulations. Your work directly supports pharmacists, clinicians, and patients, helping to drive better health outcomes while also contributing to the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Data Management: Enter, verify, and maintain patient medication records, vaccination logs, disease‑state management program data, and other clinical documentation in arenaflex’s proprietary systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct routine audits of entered data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure 99.9% accuracy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all data entry activities comply with FDA regulations, state pharmacy boards, HIPAA privacy rules, and arenaflex’s internal policies.
  • Financial Performance Support: Assist pharmacy teams with reimbursement‑related data entry, helping to capture accurate payer information and support revenue‑cycle initiatives.
  • Patient Interaction: Review patient profiles, confirm medication histories, and provide clear, compassionate communication when clarifying data or addressing patient inquiries.
  • Collaboration & Training: Serve as a resource for pharmacy staff, offering guidance on data entry best practices and participating in virtual training sessions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify workflow bottlenecks, suggest enhancements, and help implement new standard operating procedures that increase efficiency and data integrity.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Generate regular reports on data quality metrics, compliance status, and project progress for leadership review.
  • Ad‑hoc Projects: Support special initiatives such as new program launches, system migrations, or pilot studies as assigned by the manager.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy Technology, or a related field.
  • Current pharmacy technician license (or equivalent) issued by the state in which you reside, or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience handling confidential health information, preferably in a pharmacy or clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) or pharmacy management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work non‑standard hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays, to align with pharmacy operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with payer and pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) data entry and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy compliance standards such as USP 795 and 797, and state board regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with data‑entry platforms such as Cerner, Epic, or other industry‑specific software.
  • Previous experience in remote or virtual team environments, demonstrating self‑discipline and reliable internet connectivity.
  • Customer‑service experience, especially in a healthcare or pharmacy context, with a track record of building trust and rapport.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and missing information in high‑volume data streams.
  • Analytical Thinking: Comfort interpreting data trends and translating them into actionable insights.
  • Time Management: Skillful at juggling multiple priorities while maintaining high quality.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Strict adherence to HIPAA and internal privacy standards.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who can effectively partner with pharmacists, managers, and IT specialists.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and regulatory updates as the industry evolves.
