Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily administration of the 401(k) plan and related retirement benefits, ensuring accurate enrollment, contribution processing, and record maintenance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and compliance teams to interpret and implement evolving federal, state, and local regulations governing retirement plans.
  • Develop, organize, and facilitate process training sessions for internal stakeholders to guarantee consistent compliance and best‑practice execution.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for third‑party administrators (TPAs), conducting vendor assessments, benchmarking, and ongoing performance reviews.
  • Manage eligibility data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain robust audit trails to support regulatory reporting and internal controls.
  • Assist in the design and rollout of new benefit initiatives, translating business requirements into system specifications and ensuring seamless integration with existing platforms.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting enrollment trends, compliance status, and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Provide responsive support for escalated inquiries, appeals, and carrier communications, delivering clear and timely resolutions.
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at enhancing data integrity, system efficiency, and overall employee experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of data entry, benefits administration, or related analytical work.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, data‑management tools, and familiarity with HRIS or benefits platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of 401(k) regulations, ERISA, and other retirement‑plan compliance requirements.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong quantitative skills, comfort working with large data sets, and ability to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner.
