Position Overview

The Remote Customer Operations Specialist – Inbound & Outbound Transportation Management is the critical link between sellers, carriers, fulfillment centers (FCs), and transportation hubs. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex transportation issues that affect order delivery timelines and overall customer satisfaction. This role operates within the Transfer Activity Center (TAC), the strategic hub that orchestrates the movement of inventory across arenaflex’s global network. You will work on both inbound (seller‑to‑FC) and outbound (FC‑to‑customer) flows, ensuring that every shipment moves smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with arenaflex’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Transportation Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for sellers, carriers, and FC teams to coordinate the pickup, staging, and receipt of inventory.
  • Identify and resolve disruptions that could delay inbound shipments, such as missed pickups, documentation errors, or carrier capacity constraints.
  • Maintain real‑time visibility of inbound shipment status using arenaflex’s proprietary tracking tools and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with the Seller Support, Finance, and Program Support teams to address billing discrepancies, customs issues, and compliance requirements.
  • Document root‑cause analyses and recommend process enhancements to reduce future inbound exceptions.

Outbound Transportation Management

  • Oversee the end‑to‑end flow of orders from FCs to customers, ensuring that trucks are loaded, dispatched, and delivered according to promised service levels.
  • Monitor outbound carrier performance, flagging late pickups, route deviations, or capacity shortages for immediate remediation.
  • Partner with the Customer Service, Retail, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot order‑level issues that impact delivery promises.
  • Generate and interpret performance metrics (e.g., on‑time delivery, transit time variance) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives to automate exception handling and streamline communication workflows.

Data‑Driven Decision Making

  • Extract, cleanse, and analyze data from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, internal dashboards) to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
