About arenaflex Packaging

A position with arenaflex Packaging represents a valuable opportunity to contribute to the development of packaging for arenaflex's most beloved owned brands, exclusive collaborations, and travel packaging. Your influence will drive sales and grow brand love through packaging that is customer-focused, on-brand, competitive "at shelf," and category-relevant. In this role, you'll leverage internal and external partnerships, collaborate on research and analysis to support packaging optimization, establish best practices for scalability, and support sustainability initiatives. As part of a global team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with arenaflex offices, product vendors, and packaging suppliers across the United States, China, India, and other international locations. This position will support and impact all areas of the Owned Brand business. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Data Infrastructure: Build fundamental data requirements, taxonomy structures, and specification compliance to support packaging design optimization and sustainability efforts across all Owned Brand businesses.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Consult with key merchandising, design, store operations, marketing, supply chain, properties, and compliance program owners in establishing relevant data requirements and adaptable standards that consistently reflect our commitment to safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
  • Change Management: Create and oversee change processes to ensure accurate packaging document management portfolios across multiple systems and partner teams.
  • Training & Communication: Develop, manage, and execute innovative training and content on resources for internal and external audiences to drive comprehensive understanding of standards, specifications, and data accuracy best practices.
  • Requirements Optimization: Evaluate data requirements, standards, and specifications to optimize safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that align with industry standards, enhance engineering best practices, are consistent with risk tolerance thresholds, and maintain a leadership position in the industry.
  • Guidance & Support: Provide support and guidance to cross-functional teams and colleagues to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of packaging data requirements, standards, and specifications.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Consult with appropriate internal regulatory and compliance subject matter experts, identifying impacts on current data requirements and standards, taking action to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for improvement in compliance.
  • Global Partnerships: Facilitate cross-functional global partnerships to drive effective communication and roadshows regarding product development goals, compliance, and data accuracy best practice requirements and expectations.
  • Performance Measurement: Leverage data to identify trends or issues, in partnership with technology teams, to measure the effectiveness of training delivered and communications sent.
  • Industry Research: Research industry trends and evaluate arenaflex's corresponding data and standards practices, sharing insights and recommendations with appropriate stakeholders for change and compliance.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide leadership and guidance to others, driving effectiveness and efficiency in team outcomes.
  • Team Culture: Create and maintain a positive team culture by demonstrating behaviors consistent with arenaflex's values of Inclusivity, Connection, and Drive; ensure ongoing, effective communications to the team, and support individual development by providing regular performance feedback, coaching, recognition, and evaluation.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience developing and managing documentation and standards programs, preferably including packaging design and development
  • Ability to influence without authority, manage projects, facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport, and collaborate effectively, both locally and remotely, across all levels of an organization
  • Experience with documentation best practices, technical writing, and reporting
  • Skilled at developing and advising on content, structure, and delivery of effective training platforms, roadshows, and communications
  • Experience leading teams and/or projects, driving collaboration, empowerment, and teamwork
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and resilience; open to working in ambiguous and ever-changing environments
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work, communicate, and lead in a highly collaborative environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Visio applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with packaging or consumer goods manufacturing
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in packaging design
  • Experience with cross-functional international project management
  • Familiarity with industry-specific packaging software and tools
  • Background in brand guidelines and retail packaging standards
