Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable server environments, including load balancing, web‑application clustering, and auto‑scaling strategies.
  • Diagnose and resolve middleware issues across development, testing, and production environments, ensuring seamless application performance.
  • Monitor and maintain both on‑premises and cloud data center hardware, including UPS systems, HVAC, power distribution, and physical security controls.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team by leading technical workshops and mentorship sessions.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving security standards; proactively recommend improvements to infrastructure architecture.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding infrastructure incidents, status updates, and escalation procedures.
  • Administer Windows Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy Objects, ensuring reliable directory services across the enterprise.
  • Provide guidance and hands‑on support to junior engineers, helping them grow technical skills and resolve complex challenges.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation and provide after‑hours support for critical infrastructure incidents.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a systems or infrastructure engineer, with a proven track record of managing production‑grade environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS 7/8) and Windows Server (2012/2016) operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms—Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or IBM Cloud—including deployment of cloud‑native applications.
  • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines (CI/CD), version control (GitHub), artifact repositories (Artifactory), and automation servers (Jenkins).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry) and monitoring tools (Dynatrace, LogDNA, Sysdig).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems and devise effective work‑arounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a senior technical leadership role.
