Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Technical Product Engineer – Business Analyst to partner with our Customer Service technology group. In this role, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT development teams, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable product requirements. You will own the full lifecycle of feature development—from gathering and documenting requirements to supporting testing, deployment, and post‑launch analysis—ensuring that every solution delivers measurable value to arenaflex’s customers and the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business owners, product managers, and technical leads to elicit, analyze, and prioritize functional and non‑functional requirements for customer‑service applications.
  • Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow diagrams that align with arenaflex’s agile development processes.
  • Maintain a living product backlog, ensuring that items are well‑defined, properly sized, and ready for sprint planning.
  • Facilitate requirement‑gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and cross‑functional meetings to capture a comprehensive view of business needs.
  • Partner with QA engineers to design test cases, support automated testing frameworks, and validate that delivered features meet agreed‑upon standards.
  • Provide ongoing support to development teams by clarifying requirements, answering questions, and addressing change requests throughout the sprint cycle.
  • Track and report on project status, risks, and dependencies, delivering regular updates to senior leadership and product owners.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of product documentation, release notes, and training materials for end‑users.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced data analytics within the customer‑service domain.
  • Lead or co‑lead sprint reviews and retrospectives, championing a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2‑3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Product Engineer in a fast‑paced, technology‑focused environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into clear, concise technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and experience working in iterative development cycles.
  • Proficiency with requirement‑management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities, supported by a data‑driven mindset.
  • Experience creating test cases and collaborating with QA teams on automated testing suites.
  • Self‑starter attitude with the capacity to work independently and deliver high‑quality results on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in the airline, travel, or hospitality industry, particularly with customer‑service platforms.
  • Familiarity with API design, RESTful services, and integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Certification in Agile (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP).
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and basic SQL for reporting purposes.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a subject‑matter expert for a suite of applications, taking ownership of product performance and roadmap.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Collaboration: Embrace diverse perspectives, foster inclusive dialogue, and build strong relationships across global teams.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Keep the passenger experience at the forefront of every decision, ensuring solutions are intuitive and value‑adding.
  • Critical Thinking: Apply logical analysis to complex problems, identify root causes, and propose pragmatic solutions.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift rapidly, and new technologies emerge regularly.
  • Attention to Detail: Produce precise documentation, maintain rigorous quality standards, and safeguard data integrity.
