Health Policy & Management
Health Policy & Management — AI Data Trainer About The Role Your public health expertise is more valuable than you think — especially to the AI systems that are rapidly becoming a primary source of health information for millions of people worldwide. Alignerr partners with the world's leading AI research labs to train and refine cutting-edge AI models. We're looking for Masters in Public Health (MPH) graduates and public health professionals to help ensure these models deliver accurate, evidence-based, and ethically sound health guidance. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your domain knowledge directly shapes how AI understands population health, epidemiology, biostatistics, and health policy.
What You'll Do
- Design Complex Public Health Scenarios — Create challenging, real-world prompts involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and interpretation of clinical trial data to rigorously test AI reasoning.
- Author Ground-Truth Responses — Write detailed, step-by-step model answers that draw on peer-reviewed research, epidemiological evidence, and established guidelines from bodies like the CDC and WHO.
- Audit AI Outputs — Critically evaluate AI-generated health advice and policy recommendations for factual accuracy, logical consistency, potential bias, and adherence to ethical standards.
- Refine AI Reasoning — Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI models distinguish correlation from causation, communicate health risk appropriately, and serve diverse populations equitably.
Who You Are
- Holder of a Masters in Public Health (MPH), Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), or closely related graduate degree
- Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
- Skilled at translating complex health data into clear, culturally sensitive, and actionable written content
- Meticulous attention to detail — especially around statistical significance, citations, and the logic of health interventions
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, quality review, or evaluation workflows
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
- Background in health communication, clinical research coordination, or public health surveillance
Why Join Us
- High-impact work — Your expertise directly improves how AI handles real public health questions that affect real people
- Fully remote and flexible — Work on your own schedule, 10–40 hours per week
- Engage with cutting-edge AI — Collaborate with models at the frontier of language and reasoning research
- Freelance autonomy — High agency, variety of tasks, and no micromanagement
- Ongoing opportunity — Strong performers are considered for contract renewals and expanded projects
