Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Freight Handling: Safely lift, load, unload, and transport cargo, mail, and baggage to and from aircraft, ensuring proper placement and balance.
  • Aircraft Guidance: Direct incoming and departing aircraft to appropriate parking positions, coordinating with pilots and ground control to maintain smooth traffic flow.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate ground support equipment such as belt loaders, tugs, and pull‑back tractors in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Protection & Security: Shield freight, equipment, and mail from damage, loss, and adverse weather conditions; follow all security procedures to protect cargo integrity.
  • Scanning & Documentation: Use scanners and computer systems to verify that items are routed to the correct destination, updating records in real time.
  • Physical Labor: Perform repetitive tasks that involve twisting, lifting (up to 70 lb), standing, and walking, often in challenging weather (heat, rain, snow).
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow ramp agents, supervisors, and airline personnel to meet tight turnaround times and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Shift Flexibility: Adapt to varying shift schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, based on flight operations needs.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent high‑school diploma with relevant coursework.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate ground support vehicles.
