Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Data Operations Analyst to spearhead data quality, governance, and production support initiatives for our expansive data lake environment. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business operations, partnering with cross‑functional technology teams to identify, troubleshoot, and remediate data issues before they impact critical products and services. As a senior member of the arenaflex Client Information Items Group, you will drive process enhancements, champion best‑practice frameworks, and mentor junior analysts to ensure our data pipelines remain robust, scalable, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Data Production Support

  • Lead production support activities for a suite of data analysis products that power internal banking functions.
  • Act as the primary liaison for identifying root causes and remediation of data incidents affecting client information analysis platforms.
  • Analyze complex technical challenges within a large‑scale data environment, employing end‑to‑end investigative techniques.
  • Develop and present detailed reports on ongoing production activities, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to internal stakeholders.

Process & Platform Enhancement

  • Drive the design and implementation of new workflow processes and platform upgrades, ensuring seamless integration of emerging data products.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams to maintain clear communication channels and timely delivery of enhancements.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, designing innovative solutions and opening new avenues for operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of execution standards for the team, guaranteeing that tasks meet or exceed performance metrics.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage the day‑to‑day risk and control stream of activities, focusing on strategies, policies, and work standards to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams to meet project deadlines, drive new initiatives, and align technology mandates with business objectives.
  • Mentor and coach peers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Partner with business partners to define initiatives, prioritize work, and deliver technology solutions that support arenaflex’s strategic goals.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands‑on data analysis experience, or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • Data Environment Expertise: At least 3 years supporting large‑scale data environments, with a strong grasp of data lake architectures.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience delivering ETL, data warehouse, and data analysis capabilities on big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop) for 2+ years.
  • Tool Proficiency: 2+ years using a mix of tools such as Hive, Pandas, Autosys, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Experience supporting streaming technologies like Kafka and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Advanced certifications in data engineering (e.g., Cloudera, Hortonworks) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data pipeline development.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data problems into actionable solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring junior analysts and coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
