Underwriting Assistant I

They are seeking an Underwriting Assistant I to support the underwriting team with new business and renewal support, broker handling, endorsement review, and providing agency support to assigned agents.
Responsibilities
- New Business support, such as, pre-bind risk analysis within prescribed authority, reconciliation of binds to ensure all issued
- Renewal support including pre-underwriting review, quoting, system updates, data collection and any other non-core underwriting type duties as directed
- Broker of record handling
- Endorsement review and pre-screening as directed
- Cancellation and reinstatement handling as directed
- Recommendation review and handling
- Special projects as needed
- Maintains ownership of tasks assigned and provide acceptable service standards when processing and assigning tasks
- Provide agency support to assigned agents by answering general questions, providing endorsement status, cancellation status, billing inquires, etc. or directs to correct contact
