Overview

Seeking an Azure Platform Engineer to support and enhance an enterprise Data & Analytics environment leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, and Azure cloud services. This is a hands-on cloud engineering role focused on data platform architecture, automation, governance, performance optimization, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Azure-based Data & Analytics platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse.
  • Configure and support Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Implement cloud security, governance, compliance, and monitoring best practices.
  • Develop automation and integrations using Azure services, APIs, PowerShell, Python, and scripting.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Required Skills

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
  • Strong Azure Data Factory (Pipelines & Data Flows).
  • Azure Databricks.
  • Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Microsoft Fabric.
  • Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Azure SQL Database.
  • PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.
  • CI/CD with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
  • Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Data warehousing, data lake, and data modeling experience.
  • Cloud security, governance, and compliance knowledge.

Preferred

  • Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect certifications.
  • Enterprise Data & Analytics platform experience.
  • Technical documentation and process mapping experience.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA).
