Sr. Accountant Application Deadline: 31 July 2026 Department: Finance Employment Type: Full Time Location: Remote - USA Reporting To: CFO Compensation: $95,000 - $125,000 / year Description Location: Remote (ET/CT/MT preferred) / Miami, FL – Hybrid Working primarily in US time zones and collaborating with a distributed team. You’ll be the CFO’s right hand on all things accounting. Owning the close, keeping the books clean, and building the financial infrastructure as we scale. This is a high-ownership role with a direct line to leadership and real room to grow. You’re not inheriting a finished function; you’re helping build it. What You’ll Do Own the monthly and quarterly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis Prepare accurate financial statements: balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow in line with US GAAP Reconcile accounts and subledgers, identifying and resolving discrepancies before they reach leadership Maintain the general ledger in ERP, including chart of accounts integrity and proper department coding Support external audits by preparing PBC schedules and serving as the primary accounting contact for auditors Coordinate tax compliance support with external advisors, including state filings, sales tax, and 1099s Identify manual workflows and drive process improvements and automation across the accounting function Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reporting that translates numbers into clear insight for the CFO and leadership team What We’re Looking For Experience in fintech or a similarly regulated or high-growth industry Familiarity with CFTC-regulated or financial services environments Experience working directly with a CFO or in a lean finance team where you wore multiple hats Background in process improvement or ERP migrations and finance automation tooling Experience with multi-entity or multi-currency consolidations Why Join Us!
