. This role is essential for designing and overseeing the structural integrity of complex construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural analysis, building design, and construction methodologies, with a proven ability to lead projects from conception through completion. This hybrid position requires on-site presence for project coordination, site inspections, and team collaboration, with flexibility for design work and analysis remotely. You will be a key player in delivering innovative and robust structural solutions. Responsibilities: Lead the structural design of various building projects, including high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, and industrial facilities. Perform complex structural analyses using advanced software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro). Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with building codes (IBC, ASCE). Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and integration. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications. Review shop drawings and submittals from contractors and provide necessary clarifications. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development. Manage project timelines and budgets related to structural engineering tasks. Identify and resolve structural design challenges and construction issues promptly. Stay current with the latest advancements in structural engineering, materials, and construction technologies. Prepare technical reports and present design solutions to clients and stakeholders. Ensure all designs meet safety regulations and performance requirements. Contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable structural solutions. Review and approve structural modifications during the construction phase. Participate in project meetings and client presentations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain reciprocity). Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design for construction projects. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Structural System). Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices. Experience with various building materials, including steel, concrete, and timber. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong project management and leadership abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
