• *Duties
• Engage with property managers, homeowners, and renovation professionals to identify their flooring needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Conduct detailed product demonstrations of flooring options, including samples and visual layouts using SketchUp or CAD software to help clients visualize designs.
• Assist clients with layout design, lighting considerations, and remodeling ideas to enhance interior aesthetics.
• Negotiate pricing, upsell premium products, and close high-end sales by emphasizing product benefits and value propositions.
• Manage account relationships through effective communication, follow-up, and personalized service to foster repeat business.
• Support marketing initiatives by showcasing new products, participating in merchandising displays, and promoting special offers.
• Maintain organized stock levels, process POS transactions accurately, and handle cashing procedures with integrity.
• Collaborate with installation teams on project timelines, maintenance requirements, and quality assurance for remodeling projects.
• *Skills
• Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales with a focus on high-end products such as flooring or interior finishes.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, CAD or lighting design tools to create visual layouts for clients.
• Strong negotiation skills combined with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of renovation, construction processes, remodeling techniques, and interior design principles.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse client bases effectively.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to clearly explain product features and project details.
• Organizational skills for managing multiple accounts, merchandising displays, and inventory levels efficiently.
• Basic math skills for measuring spaces accurately and calculating costs; retail math proficiency is essential.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations.
• Familiarity with lighting sales or lighting design concepts enhances client consultations.
