Your day at NTT DATA The Senior Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) is a senior management role, responsible for contributing towards the strategic planning, execution, and governance of projects within the business. With strong management skills, expertise in project management methodologies, and ability to drive process improvement, this role plays a crucial role in delivering efficiency, consistency, and excellence in project execution within the organization. The Senior Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) contributes towards fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on achieving operational excellence. Key responsibilities: Ensures project management standards within the business. Designs and develops best practices, processes, and policies related to project management. Oversees the prioritization of projects according to business objectives, organizes projects into a portfolio and develops governance processes. Provides guidance on tools, measurement strategies, surveys, and scorecards. Directs the processes that the business uses in order to make them as effective and repeatable as possible. Fosters strong working relationships across business areas and / or geographies. Manages and executes all stages of highly strategic internal projects. Identifies and communicates critical project risks to senior management. Performs due diligence on potential new projects and / or programs. Allocates resources within negotiated project budgets and timelines. Supports the implementation of repeatable process methodologies to achieve strategic business objectives. Contributes to facilitating team building and group collaboration and provides feedback and coaching to less experienced PMO team members. Helps teams confront challenges and performs conflict management. Contributes to making strategic and data-based decisions as required. Knowledge and Attributes:Detail-oriented and has excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Extended understanding of project management methodologies and processes. Extended understanding of the organization's vision, goals and industry context. Extended leadership and people management skills. Extended ability to actively listen to team members, senior leadership, and other senior stakeholder groups. Excellent ability to create a collaborative and motivated project team. Extended ability to navigate organizational dynamics and build strong stakeholder relationships. Extended ability to resolve conflicts and driving towards consensus. Excellent ability to make informed choices on data and strategic alignment. Extended ability to analyze highly complex issues and finding effective solutions. Excellent ability to extract insights from project dashboards. Extended ability to adapt and transform focus as the PMO matures through different stages of growth. Academic Qualifications and Certifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in project management or Business or Information Technology or a related field. Relevant Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Required experience:Extended experience in project management experience in a cross-business area capacity. Extended Project Management experience including high complexity, cross business area projects. Experience using with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. Experience with flowcharts, technical documentation and schedules. Extended experience managing the entire project lifecycle.
