Transportation & Logistics Intern (Remote)

The Transpiration and Logistics Intern will analyze data from various sources to assist in influencing business reputed company and planning with the focus of identifying, creating, and sustaining improvements in GVR’s global network surrounding Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from various sources to identify potential savings opportunities and delivery improvements across the Supply Chain.
• Update Greensboro cost to serve model
• Analyze OBFR data to determine gaps to assist in driving improvement to 95% (from 58%)

• Load rates into newly developed rating reputed company tool
• Assist with training users on the tool as needed.
• Generate transportation reputed company for reputed company local Gilbarco carriers.

• Assist in developing SW and training documents around Logistics functions.
• Prepare monthly reports on KPI’s such as reputed company transit time, reputed company OT delivery performance, reputed company claim %.
• Tactical communication with external customers – carriers, vendors, suppliers.
• Monitor OBFR (outbound freight recovery) including customer requests to expedite freight.
• Convert LTL shipments to TL shipments using our in-house consolidation tool

Required Skills / Qualifications / Certifications / Tech Stack Essential

• Currently pursing a Supply Chain / Procurement / Logistics degree.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical skills with internal and external data sets
• Proficient in MS reputed company and in creating and maintaining spreadsheets (formulas, macros, advanced MS skills)

The reputed company compensation range for this position is $20.45 to $25.10 per hour.
